Join the Fair Housing Council of Oregon at the first annual Housing Help Fair on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Medford Public Library in celebration of Fair Housing Month! You’ll learn about your housing rights; the housing assistance resources available in our community and connect with local organizations and agency workers who support community members with housing needs. Free lunch will be provided to the first 70 people who register, and all attendees will be entered into the drawing to win door prizes.
There will be two presentations during the event which focus on renters’ rights and resources to secure housing in our region. Spanish interpretation will be provided during the morning and lunch presentations. 20 local housing, shelter, utility and community health organizations and agencies will provide resource tables with an activity for attendees to learn about their services. The morning presentation will be Fair Housing 101 by the Fair Housing Council of Oregon and the lunch presentation will be All About Housing Choice Vouchers by the Housing Authority of Jackson County. We’ll also have two tables where attendees can sign up for 15-minute sessions with a housing navigator from Unete or with FHCO enforcement staff to talk about their fair housing questions.
