The Fight Continues: Celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and ongoing efforts of housing justice advocates

Join Fair Housing Council of Oregon for a training celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Learn about the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in organizing against housing discrimination, and other examples through the decades of advocates working towards housing justice. This presentation will be a look back at important fights and aims to inspire a forward view of what is next in addressing housing discrimination and injustice.

About the Presenter

Maig Tinnin is the Education and Outreach Specialist for Southern Oregon. They graduated from Portland State University and before coming to the Fair Housing Council, spent over a decade working in disability services and supporting self-advocates in a variety of projects. Maig is passionate about the housing justice movement and enjoys finding creative solutions to the Fair Housing needs of Oregon’s rural communities.
